Conflict Diamond
Deep in Africa, one of the biggest industries of diamonds came a story of tragedy and suffering made by bunch forces and lived it a group of innocents.
What are the “conflict diamonds” or “blood diamonds”? Diamonds that are trade out of Africa during the civil war and their funds were used by the rebels to buy more weapons. These diamonds are considered illegal.
In 1990, Angola and Sierra Leone were a spots for the civil war which the Liberian president Charles G. Taylor was directly involved in by supporting the rebels with weapons and training to get diamonds in return.
In 2003 move adapted by the UN called “Kimberley Process” was organized to assure that non of the conflict diamonds will inter the diamonds market
It’s every body’s responsibility to make sure where he buys diamonds and think about millions of innocents who have died in the civil war.“ Blood Diamonds” are still finding their way to the market so be careful.
