Global Warming

An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvenient Truth is documentary movie presented by the former US vice president Al Gore in the year 2006 and followed by the book release.
The movie was shown as a slide show Keynote presentation presented by Al Gore and some true events images and some of Al Gore’s life. Al Gore starts the presentation by showing some of the first images of the earth taken by some space crafts followed by the explanation of the global warming which is the thickening of the atmosphere layer by the greenhouse gases that causes more heat to be looked up in the atmosphere. He used a part of the animation “Futurama” to explain the global warming. Showing how Al Gore was inspired by a professor back in the college days who used to measure the amount of CO2 in the environment every year and notice the increasing of it, he continues to describe the increasing of heat and CO2 amount and the climate changes. Some horrible images of the Katrina hurricane and the collapse of many ice sheets in many places like Antarctica and Greenland were shown too as results of global warming.

I don’t feel that this movie is really convincing. A better hard work should be done for the subject of global warming. Showing some of Al Gore’s life story in the film made me feel like if it’s a cheap way to gain popularity again probably for some new election, but people really should care about the global warming. We can feel that the heat is increasing every year and now especially after the problem begun it will be very hard to stop it but we still should do our part.
